I'm out in a field that has trees sparsely populating the area around me, and the ground is covered in dirt. The sky is purple, but clear. In front of me is a pile of dead grass, like someone mowed a lawn and piled it there, except for the grass has already turned brown. I'm holding a shovel, trying to get a shovelful of dead grass, and after I try a few times I hear the sound of thunder. It wasn't like normal thunder, but rather like thunder played over ancient speakers that have gone bad and are crackly. I pickup a shovelful and run back towards the house (I haven't yet seen it, but I know where it is), and most of the grass spills off as I run.
I get back to my grandma's house and run under the porch, immediately picking up my laptop from the step as I do so, and I notice my grandma standing in the doorway, making a comment on the thunder. I look back out at the driveway, and I see what looks like a cross between a lizard and a snake moving across the driveway.

Wow dead grass, a storm, thunder and a lizard or snake moving across the driveway, some very strong symbols. Also if it were my dream since my grandmother is in most of my dreams she might symbolize ancient wisdom in some way too. Is the thunder the spirit of the dead grass. Like a lizard or snake, I get the feeling in the dream that the storm and thunder are going to revive the dead grass, like a rebirth of some kind. I'd also pay attention to the two polar symbols of dead grass and dried concrete (driveway). I wonder what wisdom I am stepping up too? Something is on the edge, the threhold of my consciousness, awaiting to emerge.
Wow, I really like what explora and sunwolf has offered up. The many symbols of change; those that seem to be.... and .... those that you know to be.
The grass being burnt and how you were trying to help, shows a kind of growing thru the alchemy of the up and coming storm. At least to me. the computer may be likened to our brain and communications.

If Storm Approaching were my dream:
I would notice that there are a few "imitations" or perhaps "illusions" taking place in this dream. First the thunder which sounds like "thunder played over ancient speakers that have gone bad and are crackly", and second the strange lizard/snake creature moving across the driveway.
How did you feel after waking from this dream?
