The Laughing Monkey dream

I am reading tarot at some event, feels like gay pride, or some picnic area.

I am outside, feels like a park. There is even a land-line phone (not a cell).

I am talking to clients that I’ve read for before.

My friend Cathy comes up saying that they won! She is all excited, and with her partner they are dancing and yelling, jumping up and down: “We won the $10,000!” I am happy for her, as she is raising money for AIDS. Although excited she is also sad. I ask her why? She says her mom isn’t supportive of all her friends. I ask her to explain, “She asked me the other day, which of my friends is likely to die of AIDS?”

I flash on something, but decide to shut my mouth and not say anything. I give Cathy a hug instead. I go back to doing readings. I had forgotten and left my client on the phone, as I see the phone still lying on the table. I pick up the phone but it has a dial tone, so I hang it up and pick up the receiver again to dial her again and apologize, but the phone automatically dials itself. The woman answers, but when she hears my voice she is mad, and asks me to never call her again. I tell her most firmly that I didn’t call her, that the phone dialed itself. Realizing this sounds pretty hokey, she says, “If you call me again, I’ll call the police!”

I hang up, feeling distraught. Suddenly some celebrity show up, Samuel Avatar, the magician. People are so excited to see him. He jumps from a helicopter, but instead of falling to the ground he bounces up to a tree and sits on the limb (he has a shoulder and neck brace, like for bungee jumping). So it appears he floats down when he jumps out of the tree.

I take it that he’s a theatrical kind of magician, and illusionist.

Some guy from Facebook is standing ahead of me, trying to get the stars attention. He notices me, since we are friends on FB, and he asks me if I had the chance to finish watching that video he posted a link too. I tell him no, as I had to leave because of a personal crisis with a friend. He seems to feel rejected.

Suddenly this star says, “So, you are Ron Adams!” He asks me if I still worked for The Laughing Monkey? I don’t understand, and he hands me my business card and I see the name The Laughing Monkey. I suddenly remember I did PR for the Laughing Monkey for their Spiritual Metaphysical Expo back in 1989.

Cathy and her partner come up and kidnap me, and take me to a trailer. They keep saying they have a surprise for me. I wonder if they found me a guy. Just before they show me, I wake up. EOD.

Comments: Damn radio clock woke me up just as I am about to see my surprise. What amazes me is I jumped out of bed, forgetting the dream, but remembering the name The Laughing Monkey. I pulled the Shadow card from Kaplan’s Dream Cards, I remembered that Cathy was in the dream, and I grabbed my pen and paper and write the whole dream down from some deeper memory I recalled.
