Bohemian Rhapsody dream

I am setting up my camera on my computer, and checking the lighting, because I am going to read the first chapter in the Book of the Law for my YouTube page. I am enjoying reading it. As I finish the first chapter, somehow there is a splice into my feed, a Queen video, doing Bohemian Rhapsody, with George W. Bush being made fun of, especially when the following lyrics come up…Bush looks awfully like Mad’s mascot, Alfred E. Neuman:

“I see a little silhouetto of a man,

Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the Fandango

Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me

Galileo,Galileo,

Galileo Galileo

Galileo figaro-Magnifico

But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me

He's just a poor boy from a poor family

Spare him his life from this monstrosity

Easy come easy go-,will you let me go

Bismillah! No-,we will not let you go-let him go

Bismillah! We will not let you go-let him go

Bismillah! We will not let you go-let me go

Will not let you go-let me go

Will not let you go let me go

No,no,no,no,no,no,no

Mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go

Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me,for me,for me”

After that is over, I am suddenly at the White House the night before Bush and Laura are leaving. We are having cake and coffee. I get the chance to ask George how he liked being President. He says it was ok, rather distracted. We talk about him moving out and what that must feel like. I tell him everyone moves, and things are taken out. I remind him that his father lived here too, which he seems to brush aside like it doesn’t matter. There is one last scene where Bush is in suspenders and overalls, he sits down on the couch with a couple and says “There are some McIntosh apples out in the orchard we should pick.” EOD.

Comments: Well this begs the question, does Bush know about the Book of the Law, or for that matter Queen. Since Queen is British and Rock Stars, surely they have heard of the Great Beast 666, Aleister Crowley. I know Led Zeppelin does, as Jimmy Page use to own Boleskine, Crowley castle. Jung had a castle too, Bollingen house and his Red Book, Liber Novus is coming out in October. Interesting that Uncle Al wrote Liber AL too. Maybe this dream is about connections? Beelzebub is probably a word Crowley worked with in ritual. Also Bismillah sounds like one of those types of words in the Book of the Law. Bismillah is an Arabic word used in the phrase Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim. Its suppose to contains the true essence of the entire Qur'an, as well as the true essence of all religions. It means "In the name of God, most Gracious, most Compassionate". Makes me thing of the words Balasti and Ompehda in Liber AL. What those words mean is a matter of interpretation and debate.

Aleister Crowley

I would love to know more about Aleister Crowley, could we perhaps have a topic board conversation?

Wow, when you come back, you really come with some powerful dreams. Loved that at the end about the apples needing to be harvested, or to pick the apples.

I recall reading other threads on Aleister Crowley that you posted years ago on Sea-Life, just all sounds interesting, mysterious and alluring. Anywhere to start would be great with me. Perhaps, you can guide towards which books may be better in your oppinion than others. And if you do not mind, sharing why you feel this way.

Thank you,

dl.

Well I feel Crowley was an enigmatic person, and he did alot of interesting things:  poet, mountain climber, magickian, etc.

He published the Equinox, a great series of books on occult and magick.  He started Scientific Illuminism:  "The Method of Science, the Aim of Religion."

I love his work on the THOTH deck, its the best tarot deck that I use.

April 8th, 9th and 10th he channeled The Book of the Law, which in my opinion prophecizes the coming of a new age of humanity after brutal world wars, and destruction.  That people would finally realize their own true nature and true purpose and stop trying to be something that they are not.  To me this seems to symbolize the zietgeist, and that if people where themselves and not something that they are not, there would be peace, which is basically what John Lennon said.

I am reading a new book about Crowley called Secret Agent 666, which is about him being a spy for the British government during WWI and WWII.  Makes a lot of sense, as he used his Magick persona and Writer persona to be a double agent, spying on the Germans in New York.  He even went to Russia right before their revolution too.

After thinking about it, I don't want to start another Crowley thread.  But I'd be happy to answer all your questions here.

I like the Book of the Law.  I take it symbolically, like a mystic trance state, as it was Crowley who channeled it in 1904, sort of like how we interpret dreams, I take that approach.

I also like Crowley's Confessions (his bio) and Liber 777 which shows connections between numbers, gematria, and all sorts of things like gem stones, herbs, etc.

The Book of Thoth is great for tarot study.

I think there are a lot of people who take Crowley in a fanatical way and literal way, and I think that is bad.  Why would I want to walk his spiritual path, when I have my own lessons.

Thank you, Ron. I highly appreciate your help with Crowley. With these books and insight, I now have a launching point to further explore when ready.

I read cards too, have a few packs. They are quite helpful when needed. Been helping to guide people from all over for over 20 years. I'm still learning, and they (cards) are a great tool.

Best regards,

John...dl.

What's your favorite deck?

Thank you for asking, probably the first deck that was bought for me when I was 15 years old by my mom; now being 36, for 21 years the Rider has been and still is the one I practice with best.

Have an interesting deck story to share with you; about 3 years ago the cards actually began to shuffle and pull in my minds eye. happily, joyfully while around new people the deck would show up(kind of like in ones imagination, except I knew and could feel the difference inside,& out. Like in a hollographic field virtual reality, the cards would "light up" inside my mind, and a reading would occure, "I share and "they" would validate. It 's very quickly astablishing friendships, I tell you.

Its a blast for me too, weddings are the best!

Even when your laughed at, riddiculed and made fun of, the universe creates change; weddings come and those that choose not to believe, still will not believe, but they come back to let you know they remember what you said.

I should get back to turning the cards on a dailly scale of things, to improve the connection of the energy, when I do the cards come back into mind mentally-clearly(and then I don't need the actual deck). Its an interesting developement, and I most enjoy it when it returns.

I love the Zen Osho, they help with strengthening the energy of NOW. Very positive and feel good.

Another BEAUTY of a deck is, The Mayan Orical. This is just a delightful set of cards, teach so much and have a super feel.

For myself, I feel that the Aeon of Horus without Maat is destructive and rude. Maat brings in ethics, which I feel is an important balance to the Double Current. Sure the main force of the Horus current was to wipe out the old aeonic way of thinking, but left unchecked it could wipe out everything. No use having free will, true will and purpose if we don't respect that in one another. I find some OTO groups, not all, and its members lack of respect, thinking they are the only one's who know Crowley, and also only following Crowley's rituals, condoning lieing, cheating, and whatever means to promulgate thelema to be crass. I've met some real a-holes in so called thelemic groups. This is why I love Horus Maat Lodge because people have ethics, integrity and honor.

P.S. I am not saying all OTO groups or members are this way. Probably only a few.

yes pulling cards daily is really great.  I love the Osho deck.  I want to get the Dakini Oracle again too.

Here is a group that I respect:

“Those who have felt the pull of destiny to become more than they are, are invited to study, learn, and apply the ‘Gnosis of Regeneration.’
· No dues are exacted!
· Members are encouraged (but are not required) to develop their own individual Magical System along established Alchemical principals. (Magical systems, like mathematics, aid one in working with and describing the Universe. But the system is NOT the Universe).
· No Initiations are performed nor Grades conferred for attainment (In reality initiations can not be conferred by anyone other than the personal Higher Self).
· One QBLH purpose is to help an individual far enough along the way so that they don’t need an Order, and can Work on their own.
· A group or Order is like a cell; it must divide. Nothing endures very long on this Plane of manifestation. In the end only the Inner remains.”

Horus/Maat Lodge
http://www.horusmaat.com/HMLFAQ.html

“The foundation of the Horus/Maat Lodge took place on the New Moon of April 26th of 1979, at a gathering of Soror Nema and the members of the Grove of the Star & the Snake. Our goal was to form a loose constellation of Thelemic Mages devoted to spreading the evolutionary energies of the Double Current 93/696, as free as possible from the type of authoritarian hierarchy that is so common in occult organizations.”

KIA Illuminated Adepts
http://kiamagic.com/wiki/index.php?title=Open_Source_Sorcery

“Open Source Sorcery (aka Open Sourcery) is a movement dedicated to the sharing of knowledge and experience among those who practise arts of sorcery of various traditions. Partly this is facilitated through the use of this and other occult wikis that have information released under the terms of an Open Source or Creative Commons license. The idea is that rituals and knowledge can be shared, adapted and improved by all. Whilst the webmaster reserves the right to moderate the amendments if necessary, there is nothing to stop anyone taking any of the material and posting it elsewhere, including in another wiki, and editing as they desire, so long as they too publish it under the same terms and conditions.”

Servants of the Star and Snake
http://www.wild.net.au/sss/

“The SSS exists to share the things we have each discovered in our own private Circles with each other, much as a professional group of scientists will meet occasionally to share what is going on with their research in their own laboratories. We do this for professional growth, curiosity and, of course, a certain degree of fellowship.”

Assembly of the Knowledge and Wisdom of Solomon
http://www.mindspring.com/~hellfire/bishop/points/points2.htm

“The ‘trigger points’ or ‘power points’, known as points chauds in the system of Gnostic Voudon as taught by T Michael Bertiaux and developed according to his methods, with due consultation with other sources, are an attempt to expand upon the empowerments and their corresponding points on the human body developed at the end of the 20th Century and the beginning of the 21st. As stated the authentic tradition may be reasonably postulated to have originated in ancient Sumer, Akad and Babylon, with heavenly correspondences to each degree of initiation in a complete circular system of 360 degrees, of which the 90 degrees of the Rite of Misraim (Egypt) represents only one fourth of the original.”

Legba Lodge
http://legbalodge.110mb.com/index.php?p=1_2_About

“Our primary research interests at this time are applied spiritism and theurgy (both understood as protocols of interaction with noncorporeal consciousnesses/intelligences), sexual magick, subtle bioenergetics (the trajectories of energy that underlie such phenomena as points chauds, the wheel of the year, and the teachings of Juan Matus in the works of Castaneda, among others), and esoteric engineering.”

Autireba Lodge No. 11
http://gnostikoi.net/?act=page&id=175

“[The] Rite has transformed from its freemasonic roots into a gnostic and “shamanic” system of the empowerment of points chauds (hot points) on the body of light, influenced by the metaphysics of gnostic voudon. This practice claims to lead to acceleration and realization of the Great Work and as such is sympathetic with the Gnostic Church’s work. Additionally, the Rite shares some of its history with the Gnostic Church in its French experience of early XXth century. Still, both bodies are independent and the systems can be fully worked separately.”

Ecclesia Gnostica Universalis
http://www.egnu.org/wiki/About_Our_Philosophy

“We believe that everybody has gnosis, just as Buddhists believe that everyone is enlightened from the beginning. It’s just that we’ve forgotten, and may need a little assistance to remember. Nobody can give or transmit to us what we already have, but a little help from our friends can help us remember what we already know.”

Ormus Lodge
http://www.lightofthegnosis.com/ormus.htm

“Ormus Lodge is both traditionalist and futurist in scope, maintaining a genuine respect for the ancient teachings while simultaneously being exploratory and innovative. We view the light of the gnosis as a continual, dynamic stream, stemming back in antiquity and flowing ever forward throughout the aeons.”

Hey, here's my first you tube vid, on Crowley, of course!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvAS_aNH7uo

I'm going to honor my dream eventually, and read from the Book of the Law.  Hopefully for Chapter 3 I can put Bohemian Rhapsody in the background.
