I'm walking in a city. There is somewhere I have to head to, but the path to it is destroyed, and thus, partially blocked. Sure, I could go around it and take longer, but for some reason I insist in trying the "broken" path. Apparently some big event destroyed the street and part of nearby buildings. There's debris all around, and the walls, ground, pipes and metal structures are all broken or bent. There are "do not cross" tapes on the area, and workmen are fixing everything. It doesn't seem to be really a big deal, as I'm not worried of walking in that area, and the workers don't seem to be worried or in a hurry. I approach the tape and ask them if I can use the path. They tell me to go ahead, so I duck under it and pass, walking along the broken, irregular path though destroyed houses and buildings, debris and junk.

At some point, I'm leaving a narrow tunnel which leads into a house. Apparently the "tunnel" had fallen on the house, or something similar, as part of its ceiling was missing. It was a small, old house. I duck under a metal gate, spotting a window on the other side which would lead me outside again, and to the place I was heading to. There's a workman here. I ask him if I can pass through, to which he answers me I needed to ask permission to the hobo who owned the house. He continues his work (digging, I think), while I look to the right. A hobo is laying down on the corner, sleeping on his back, big white beard on his face. I'm a little scared of him. I look at the window - I could just walk across to it and climb out. Still, I decide to ask the hobo. I wake him up to ask him. He wakes up mumbling incoherently. I take it as a yes.

I'm walking towards the window when I suddenly hear a loud, strange guttural noise. It freezes me on my tracks - it was the hobo. I turn slowly to the right again and I'm surprised to see he is standing up. He slowly lifts his arms and a leg in a Kung Fu pose, then shouts and jump-kicks me. I fall to the ground, and the dream becomes confusing for a few moments. When it's better again, my mother seems to be behind me as I'm on the floor. She is talking on a cellphone with someone. She says "Oh, so I guess I'll have to drive Rodrigo home."

I found a sample essay, possibly better essay online. I received excellent.
