I'm somewhere open. I'm riding a motorcycle (I have no idea how to ride one IRL), though I'm kinda unsure of how to do it. Sure, I can get around with it, but I'm a little wobbly when it comes to steering, plus I don't really seem to care for laws when driving. That means I pretty much ride on the sidewalk, over places I'm not supposed to, and even in closed places. At some point, I'm riding in the street when I decide (?) to use a nearby warehouse as a shortcut. I ride into and through it, dodging people along the way, which are surprised, but not really worried, that I'm riding in there. After I'm done crossing the place, and almost back on the street, I hear an announcer's voice coming out of loudspeakers, telling people to be careful as there was a "reckless driver on a motorcycle" riding in there. I think it's kinda funny, as he was already too late - I mean, I was out of the place by the time he finished the sentence.
I was now back on the street. I was heading towards a large avenue with several lanes (7-8), which sloped down. Right before I enter it, I'm in this smaller area with trees, when I'm stopped by two men who are walking in the middle of the street. The two start talking about the way I rode the motorcycle and commenting on several things. The two seemed to disagree on several points, until one of them decided he was going to help me. The other (a Mexican/Hispanic man with a tan) stayed back, while the other man came over and started instructing me. I then realized this man was L. (that's his last name, which we most often called him with), a P.E. teacher from high school. He looked the same, with his mustache and all. I began to ride down the sloping avenue, while he somehow accompanied me.
It's a good point to comment that things weren't quite real now. For instance, I kept changing my position on the bike in several ways. I couldn't quite find the handle, so when I finally settled on a pose I was sitting on the bike with my arms holding a handle on the back, where I couldn't see. As far as I know, I probably wasn't even on a bike, as at some point I don't even remember seeing it anymore. Also, surreal as it might be, it seems that L. was somehow floating beside me as we rode down the avenue. He wasn't running, he wasn't riding on my bike and he wasn't using another vehicle, yet he spoke to me and stood beside me during all the way down.
As we rode, he commented and gave me advices on steering and such, but nothing really important. I realize we were going against traffic. That wasn't so much as a problem because there weren't that many cars, and since there were many lanes, it was easy to dodge them. In fact, his lesson was all about dodging them. I was riding at a somewhat high speed down the avenue, dodging cars, as he spoke. "To ride a motorcycle, you need to transcend." That didn't make sense to me at all. "Transcend?" I asked him, dodging an oncoming car. "How can I transcend cars coming my way?" I thought he might refer to a certain "flow" when dodging, but that wasn't it. A truck was coming at full speed towards me. L. says something along the lines of "jumping over" it, as part of the lesson. I run and somehow use a ramp to jump the truck. The camera moves back as I watch me on the bike approach the top of the truck. The back wheel gets caught and I'm sent flying, the bike spinning around. "Just try again", says L. I'm not hurt, and I'm suddenly back somewhere safe.
Pretty insightful dream, I like it.
