Spider

I'm somewhere with a friend(?). A spider shows up. The person with me is scared, but I'm not. It's a strange kind of spider I've never seen before. It was considerably big, being around as big as both my thumbs together, also considering the legs. It was slightly shiny, and had a beige/gray tone. It was hanging from somewhere and the web it made was strangely thick and resistant. It looked like some kind of artificial polymer, really resilient. It had to be moved somewhere else, so I carried it by the web while the other person cowered, nearby. I usually don't like touching bugs, but I'm not specially afraid of them, so I wasn't really worried about the spider. It climbed on my hand and I woke up. Funnily enough, in my drowsiness I was unsure whether it was real or if it was still on my hand, so I carefully moved my hand on the pillow, so if it was it would climb off, then shook the pillow off my bed. I didn't want to kill it, after all.

Lightning Dreamwork

Feelings:
I felt safe, and cared about the spider.
Reality Check:
Maybe it reflects feelings of safety and assurance?
Knowing More:
Why was that spider important? Why was it so different? Do those characteristics reflect anything special in a real life situation? Interestingly, shamanic cultures tend to consider the spider responsible for spinning the "web of dreams".

I like this dream Rodrigo.

If Spider were my dream,
The standout for me would be the way the spide seems to hover there, between the states of waking/dreaming. "I was unsure whether it was real or was still on my hand".

I can imagine this sensation. It lends a feeling of significance to the encounter.

It's possible you've seen this page, but all the same you might wanna consider why the spider's showing up in your life:

Alternatively, you might find a good David Attenborough documentary - watch the spider at work, and see how you can relate to it's ways.

I really loved reading that you had a spider dream, how your interests in shamanic cultures leads into more understanding of the spider dreams.

yes, agree I do with the subtle energies of the spider in dreams; associates with the dream weaving of the veil between our two worlds before its known as the "one".

When I look back at my own dreams about the spider, it somehow reminds me of the mysterious and the revieled.

More to do with the part of the reality that we don't fully see, or what takes place behind the curtain. Although, the paterns in the web designes and the protiens that are the magor construct of the web teaches us plenty. (some years ago, back around 2000, experiments with spider protiens and web design was coppied and we humans have leant how to adopt this special spider web to help us. Creating sutures that are equivilant to metal. Millitary were involved in these studies and light protection was sown into the fabrics of clothing, making some impressive armour for war or other related. The strength of the web is rather incredible, it holds amazing weights. There was something else, the DNA was entwind into a sheep and this amazing protiens that the spider can weave with, well... it was now part of the (sheep) and it produces milk with the spider protiens, and through this process the doctors that were and are working with this sheep milk can create and spin much more of this amazing steel spider web through the mild extracted through that proces they use in the labs.)

A more shamanic interpretation: An awakening of the taperstry of learning to make your own dreams into your reality to be.

Very interesting how you help the spider to safety, web and all. And you have no fear, which is wonderful. What a great dream. Thank you so much for sharing your dream.

all my best,
