The new Batman movie has been released! People are
saying that the villain for this movie was again The Joker, and I'm
skeptical, since they couldn't use the late Heath Leger. Still, as the
movie goes on, it seems considerably decent. There are great scenes with
Christian Bale as Batman and others from the cast, and the production
is great. Things start to look strange when I notice that all car scenes
are actually 100% digital-made. Not only that, they didn't even look
good. The special effects were outdated and looked cartoonish. There
were scenes of the Batmobile in Gotham City, then of a similar car, but
purple and Joker-themed. It didn't actually show the Joker, but the
laugh was Heath Leger's. I was getting skeptical again.
Batman follow Joker to some kind of museum. Things feel familiar, and I
suddenly remember reading this as a comic book, before. Now everything
is some kind of artsy animation, with static drawings and pencil-colored
backgrounds. Sure, it's beautiful, but completely out of place. I could
also hear some kind of mental monologue for Batman, which also seemed
inadequate and annoying - they really wanted to keep it close to the
comic book. The Batman enters the museum (?) and climbs up to an upper
floor, where he meets The Joker. It turns out it wasn't really him, but
an old, fat bald man wearing facepaint that was impersonating the Joker.
He laughs and mocks Batman, while I'm thinking that they really messed
up this movie.
