Magic Friends in the Medieval Fair

I was a wizard, or at least some kind of apprentice. I had come with some friends to the outskirts of this huge mansion. We all had powers, and apparently studied together in a school of wizardry. We were currently standing on an elevated platform (not sure if it was some kind of scaffolding or if it floated with magic), and overlooking the mansion's grounds. It was a really big place with big gardens. We couldn't see what was on the other side of it. Along with us was this English gentleman who seemed to be in his late 50s or 60s, who was our teacher. He was wise, caring and a very powerful wizard - he was known and respected by many. We spent some time in the platform area, mostly talking, though I remember playing around a little - apparently, for some reason I had incredible agility, as I frequently do in my dreams, which I used for hanging around with my arms and throwing myself/jumping from one place to another.

I don't remember much of what happened in this part, other than a brief dialog with our Master, who seemed to be annoyed with the way I spoke English - it was either an American slang or my lack of British accent. We were there for a task, so at some point he told us to stay there (though I wanted to go along) for the moment. He walked down a staircase to the garden, where he met two villagers. I was now following them "spiritually" - I could see what was happening, but I wouldn't be really there. It was a strange sight - while me, the Master and the mansion seemed to be in the Victorian Era, with the master wearing a classy suit, a cane and a top hat, the two villagers who greeted him looked like rejects for a Dark Age-themed movie. They took him to a wooden cart, which I believe was pulled by horses.

The master seemed to be oblivious, but I knew we shouldn't let the "normal" people know who we were. They would be angry and aggressive, I knew, and I could tell the villagers already suspected him. One of the men scowled at Master behind his back and stayed near the stairs. The other was in the cart. When Master was sitting down, he had a stake and a hammer, which he aimed on Master's head. I tried to warn him, but in any case nothing happened - Master turned and the man put the stake and hammer away. They crossed the courtyard by cart (which I suppose was unnecessary, really), and the trip, other than a few scowls, was uneventful.

Now things changed. The opposite side of the house was actually, somehow, a mirrored scene of the side we saw before. Not only Master, but me and all my comrades were here now. We had set up a carnival of some sort. It was pretty much a series of wooden structures and scaffolding, in which we made huts and games. Some huts were themed strangely, others were simply sites for games, others just had people in and nothing else. I remember seeing a series of games that played like videogames, though they were real. The whole look of everything was again Medieval, except for us and for a few visitors, who seemed to be people from nowadays. No one was showing any hostility for us now, too.

I don't know how normal people accessed most of the scaffolding, as some huts were elevated. I would hang on the wood like a monkey and jump around. It was quite easy, really, and incredibly fun! I remember jumping to the front of a hut where Sun, from Lost, was sitting in a wedding dress (?) with a lot of Asian people around her, which I suddenly recognized as their family. Apparently, we were dating before, and she had dumped me. I chatted amiably with her and her family, and we joked around about her dumping me and now looking for a new guy. I wasn't upset, really, and seemed to know and be friends with her family.
