I'm visiting the house of some close friends. I don't know these people IRL, but in the dream we were really intimate. We could just come and go from each other's home, it seems. I remember seeing a blond boy who was a little younger than me, and his mother. The family had a strange behavior. While they were friendly, they mostly spoke and acted somewhat rudely. It was clear, though, that they didn't mean any harm - they just didn't know better. It was the way they were used to, really. Anyway, I was visiting and had brought along my cockateil. I'm not sure what was up with it, as I never take her off from home.

I stayed for quite a while, and when it was time to go, the boy asked me to let my bird stay there. Seriously, I wouldn't let her alone there. It's not that I didn't like them or trust them. I just didn't think they'd be careful enough with it. I awkwardly tell him that I couldn't, but that I'd come back with her to visit. I tell him it's because of their cat. I point down to the cat, and notice briefly how strange it was. It was black and white, but it looked like it was made of plastic and had an odd, toy-like shape. The head was a cylinder, the face being on the curvy side. I leave, and remember meeting my mother some time after this.
