Bowling Alley Poverty

I was hanging out or possibly living with these people who were really poor. I'm not sure if I was poor too, but we hanged out a lot, that's for sure. Anyway, these guys had found a small abandoned building, which they now used as a home. The area used was actually a really small, old bowling alley. There were around 5 or 6 undersized lanes, and some extra space they used mostly. I remember talking and having fun with them. There were many people living together, and none seemed to be related. There were around 8-9, at least, mostly young men and women. I remember B was there along with me. At some point, people were joking around and some started throwing bowling balls down the alleys, almost hitting people who were passing in front of them. No one but me seemed worried about it, and they wouldn't listen when I told them to be careful.

Anyway, despite some strangeness and the poverty, life was good there. At some point I leave the building (it was night, outside) and I climb some emergency stairs. These were like those metal staircases in buildings from New York and such. I've never seen these in real life, only in movies and games. But here, I climbed one easily to the roof. The building stopped just a few meters below a highway or something like that. There was a small room up here. Here Charlie, from the Secret Asian Man comics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_Asian_Man) lived. He was now poor, for some reason, that seemed to have made him crazy. He would speak loudly, waving his arms around maniacally, explaining his newest invention to me.
