Well, last night I was completely unable to fall asleep until around 7am so I became kind of desperate to figure out how to induce it and I developed a (new to me) method of focusing on something you know very very well that involves all senses (I used the idea of chopping vegetables haha). I found that this not only put me to sleep, but I remained conscious during the process (ignore the paralysis). So I had several pieces of lucid dreams.
In the first I tried to move too early, and knew I was dreaming but I suppose I wasn't fully asleep yet. I could see that I was on a bed hanging out with several friends; why we were all lounging in a giant bed I'm not sure, but when I tried to stand up it brought me back to being awake, where I struggled to move to get myself back in a comfortable position.
The second I was at a lake with my friend Ben, and we were playing around on a really high up bridge over a lake. He pushed me in and I lost a lot of lucidity because of fear for my body. He was splashing and horsing around a lot- I really dislike the idea of drowning in a lake above anything else. I managed to regain control and changed the dreamscape- into a false awakening; which I quickly realized because there was a near-full beer next to my sleeping pallat. Not only is it odd for me to leave a full beer sitting around, but if I keep anything by my bed (like a glass of water, or my cigarettes) I always put it on the other side. I decided to explore, and I snaked my way to the door. (for some reason I was having trouble standing up). My roommate across the hall had his door open and was asking what I was doing on the ground, and I told him I was dreaming. He started laughing, but at this point I could stand, and I did so, where I decided to hover around a bit.
There was some stranger in my house and I told him to leave, but he was insistant to just stick around and annoy me, so I threw him out of my window- which brought a cop-character and some other guy. They looked around my yard and started coming for the door. I attempted to go through my mirror again, but had no luck with getting inside. Instead I flew out the window and met with all 3 of these new characters, and made a quick apology and asked if they wanted to see how high we could fly. One of them asked if I wouldn't mind to be less wobbly, and the annoying man asked how I wasn't afraid of falling. I told him I just didnt want to wake up. I couldn't get very high, maybe a few stories at best...so we all jumped down on a truck and sunk inside through the roof. Then I declared we were actually in a shuttle going to the moon, and tried to exit- and we were indeed very high, with a thin ozone smell to the air, however it was like we were flying around inside a steel infrastructure of a building, which made getting out a bit difficult. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to fly if I couldnt touch my feet to something first, and telling which way was up was difficult. I woke up shortly thereafter.
The last one I recall I was part of a new season of Hell's Kitchen (chef Ramsey) and then one day he asked for something that I'd never heard of, and so I just sat there asking everyone what it meant- but nobody else seemed to know. They all did make dishes though, and I didn't. He started yelling at me about all my promise and some portly team-mate told me I'd probably be the one sent home now. I realized this was a dream and the scene shifted to an apocolyptic world, where I couldnt find much to do because everything was so boring, but I knew some weird history about the dream once I realized I was dreaming (I guess I forgot the apocolypse happening until I became lucid- and even then only vaguely.)
that's it- really Im just psyched about this method =)

Hey OneiricPsyche,
Yeh I like the style too. The use of a repetitive action - like chopping carrots - seemed to get you through..
I like the way you handled your interaction with the difficult strangers - ended up showing them all how to fly. Their responses were interesting too.
Finally, I notice that the final part of the dream is about a 'kitchen' and here you are 'chopping carrots' to get lucid. What's next on the menu?
