This is an aware and concious dream in which I don't have a character or body, but am aware and have thoughts and emotions. It's very cinematic.
It's about midnight, and all around is water, except for one domed island that is a few miles away from a long peir/dock. The stars are shining brightly, it's almost a full moon and it's reflecting off of the purpley blue water, that mirrors the sky. The air smells almost like opium, light, relaxing, and flowery. There is a non-musical and very faint lullaby type sound coming from (seemingly) everywhere at once...and the sound of feet slapping against wood. My focus is brought to the dock, where 5-7 or so young boys, in swimming trunks of non-descript patterns are sprinting down the peir, wide eyed, crying joyously as they run. Their faces are joyous, but I feel like it's almost twisted, or compelled. It kind of weirds me out, and I'm wondering what the hell is going on.
As the children reach the end of the peir they leap into a dive, which is much farther and higher than possible, and it reminds me almost of dolphins; I know they're trying to reach the island and wonder if they know how far it is; I'm aware it's a dream, but nevertheless I'm curious about the practicality of children swimming miles to get to the only land in sight. At the apex of the arc of their dive I realize with a kind of uncomfortableness that the song is coming from the island, and that it's actually a giant Turtle. I know this turtle is the world, that it is the Great Turtle. The children swim on, and i know they're damaging their bodies to reach their goal. They are hardly bothering for breath, but then I guess it's a dream. They're still in rapture.
I become more and more melancholy about the possible outcomes. I kind of hope they get to climb the (only) tree on the island, because that looks like a lot of fun to me. I can see every bit of moss and every leaf despite how far my viewpoint is, but still kinda think it's a trick. As the children reach the Great Turtle (they are swimming a lot like dolphins at this point), He opens His mouth, and the world starts to get sucked in.
The dream kind of flashes and the turtle is slightly more human, standing on 2 legs and is much smaller, he plops down on a cushion (that is identical to a life boat), and tells me to relax, sit down, and not be too worried. He gives a dry chuckle and I wake up.

Wow. What a great dream!
I like this. It reminded me of the Native American legend about 'the creation of Turtle Island'...
I like that the turtle asks you to "relax and sit down". Sounds like the kind of thing a turtle might say.
