I become lucid.

I'm now in the kitchen of my previous/family home. There's a picture in front of me. Looking at it, I see that it's a group of lines and dots (in black), seemingly arranged haphazardly around the page. However, looking closer, I see that there's a message embedded in the picture, and even words which annotate it. I find this quite clever, and am also somewhat astonished by the clarity of the dream. I can zoom in, and focus on things, and they don't mutate/change. Very nice! This rarely happens to me in my lucid dreams.

I decide to make the most of it. I should do something special. Go outside to the hill behind the house, and meditate, reach out to the owers that be.

I walk out of the house, and then step back to close the door. There's an elegance about this - a sense of closure, and patience that I recognise I have grown into. When I was younger, my lucid dreams would too often involve me madly rushing about with a particular/intention purpose. Waiting, taking a moment to close the door, seems more graceful somehow.

I wander up to the flat rocky area, and stand in a position akin to the 'Holding the Tree' meditation. Not quite correct though - haven't done it in ages. As I stand there against the night sky, I decide to close my eyes, and feel into the sensations in my fingertips. Holding the fingertips of each hand a few cm apart from one another, I wait for the "tingles" to begin - maintaining the intention for a meeting with the higher "powers" of the dream.

My fingers soon begin to buzz, and I feel myself drifting away from standing position, being carried forward - floating across the hillside, higher and higher - following a large gorilla across the sky. I cross into a completely new portion of the dream. A place to which I feel I have only just been.

The gorilla seems a little bewildered by the new setting, but also quite comfortable with why we've turned up her. It seems significant to me that I wanted to get in touch with spiritual power, and here I am with this gorilla. Who by the way, is entirely friendly and somewhat human-like in nature. When we first arrive at the basketball courts, I give him a big high 5, as a way of greeting.

I recall going out onto the basketball court and playing the game, with another friend Gillius, who also happens to be here.

Comments: This dream was pretty fun. I liked my meeting with the Gorilla. The gorilla strikes me as a fairly masculine archetype, and especially so within the context of this dream. There's alot of strength there, and a cheery spirit too.

It is these aspects of the dream that will most remain with me.

I had another association with this dream - reading over it.

I quite like that there were people playing basketball on the courts. I feel there's something here about team work/team spirit too. Perhaps a reminder to be more a part of my dream team :)

Very inspiring dream.  People from times past (I can't remember who, perhaps the Tibetans?) used to believe that meditation while you were dreaming was much more effective than meditation while you were awake.  This kinda reminds me of a dream I had a while back where I met a spirit, and she explained that her way of worship to the gods (most specifically the goddess) was dancing, and she got me to spend the whole dream dancing with her.  It was really amazing, and as she danced I could see stars being created and spinning into existence.

Thanks for the greet feedback Wolvendeer. Definitely, I feel that there is a strength/power associated with meditation in dreaming - it's much easier to get instant results! It can be quite rewarding to see the transformation in this more immediate light, though of course this is likely to be strengthened by continued practise of meditation in the waking state too..

I love the dream experience that you share. I can really picture it. What a treat!

yeah, the idea of teams stand out, and my synchronicity is that i had a lucid dream, flying dream too last night.

I'd check out gorilla medicine, probably about gentleness and strength.

Also the idea of a shift in perception, seeing the pieces in a new way, putting the puzzle together, if it were me.

Really enjoyed reading your dream. I liked how you described the "tingles" in the fingers, while you're meditating.

What comes to mind instantly, magik monkey glif.

(monkey head in a stone tablet, 3D); whatever that means?
