I become conscious in the bedroom of my family home. I've just been making out with a girl, when I gradually become lucid
It seems things weren't quite what they seemed. I see the girl, no longer in physical form, but as a kind of echo/shadow that plays in the room around me. They're indicating something to me - a message I wrote on paper, or something to that effect.
I can see in my mind's eye, that they had some difficult making sense of it. The writing appears like a foreign scrawl, untranslateable. They want to know what I meant.
More happens. I recall trying to investigate, and also watching this being dance about in the shadows of the room. It's a magical thing, not like an ordinary dance. I wonder if their movements might create ripples in the waking world, like a ghost might leave it's subtle mark.
I'm still confused. I don't know whether this encounter is good or bad. I recall walking in at one point, and stating out loud - "Who are you?!", and then realising it was a bit strong, and then saying "Ok. You seem to be my friend", and then leaving it at that.
I decide I want to do some meditation. I move into the "Holding the Tree" posture, or my best attempt of it.
I concentrate my breathing on my belly, and begin to imagine a yellow ball of energy there. It doesn't work so great immediately, but I begin to balance the weight between my two feet - improving the posture.
The dream begins to respond. Spots of colour start to play outside the window. There's a transformation, and watching a curtain roll back and rustle in the wind, I can see through to a mysterious night sky. I feel drawn, and rush out to the verandah, putting myself into the same posture.
The breeze plays around me, and though I can feel the power of the meditation increasing, and my energy growing - I soon come to wake.

I liked reading how you focused on your solar chakra, energy center of yourself while dreaming. The Echo Shadow Spirit is like a jewel and perhaps a mysterious blessing, wonder what this shadow is representing to you?
Something interesting did come into my mind while reading your dream and how you reacted at first to this presence of the shadow, and then how you chose to respond to it as a friend. what came to me, or thoughts I had was about the unknown and how sometimes we can first be fearful of what we do not understand and then once we get a grip on it, it can be whatever our heart and mind conjours up, so bravo to you Nick, you chose lighting up your heart and goodness in mind, at least this is what I found in this.
