Introduction: The two weeks before this dream were spent travelling through Mexico, and more briefly in Guatemala. I had visited some pyramid/ruins along the way - Teoheouitican, Palenqué and Tikal, before arriving in the Mexican town of Chetumal (close to the Mexican border with Belize). Up until that point I had been staying in hostels every night, however a mixup with the taxi driver left me in a hotel with the same name as the hostel I was supposed to stay in. I didn’t mind - it was nice to have some private accommodation for once. I went to sleep, very content to get some well-deserved rest.

I’m in my hotel room. The first hours of light are coming through. It must be about 7 or 8 in the morning.
I
‘wake’ to a surprise. It seems there are two guys sitting beside my bed
with luggage of their own. I feel a little intruded upon, and move to
cover my body with the sheets. Is this another strange practice they
have in México? Your room is only yours for so long. These guys seem
all set to move into the room - it’s as though they’re all ready, just
waiting for me to leave the hotel.
Then it dawns on me. This situation is too absurd.
There’s
a intangible dimension to the experience that wakes me to the truth of
things. Of course - I’m dreaming! Yes. Yes. This makes sense. I’ve had
this experience before - flung into bizarre situations, in contexts
that my waking self would be bound to think twice about. But then.. who
are these guys - it occurs to me that these may well be characters set
up to ‘wake’ me from my dream.
I turn too face the wider world
with a knowing grin. I’m onto it now, I’m onto them. Strangely though
rather than speaking to them, I just head straight out of the room, all
set to explore on my own..
A familiar woman joins me at this
point. She pulls me back, and we begin to talk. I have the definite
sense that she is a personal guide. I recall walking outside, to a
grassy area. There may be some initial lead-in, but then she drops a
message that comes as something of a surprise...

“This was your 52nd time in Palenque”
I
pause, not really grasping the meaning. I think of my waking experience
of visiting Palenque a few days earlier. It still doesn’t make sense.
Did I wander in and around the site a few times?
“What do you mean?”
“Your
52nd lifetime” she adds, though with another unusual term like
“repeats” or something similar, which hints at some facet of the way
multiple lifetimes are seen in her perspective.
I find this
fascinating, but apart from the obvious wow factor, we don’t dwell on
it too deeply. Instead she goes on with a question of her own...
“Did you get your assessments?”
“Huh?”
“Your results”
“Yes.
Yes. I passed ... Didn’t I say?!”. (I’m well aware that she’s a guide,
and expect her to be up to date with all the details of my life).
“No”.
At this point she draws out what seems like a map. I’m immediately intrigued.
There’s
lots of different information on it, and I’m drawn to it, but the thing
is I wanna zoom in on a section. In my mind, I start ‘willing’ the map
to expand, or for buttons to appear so I can start to navigate it.
She looks across at me, as if to say ~Uh, uh. Leave that to me~
The map transforms.
It’s
almost like iPhone technology - you know how you can expand the photo
by moving drawing out with two fingers. Well this is like the
multidimensional equivalent. It’s certainly not flat. I touch an “edge”
with my hands or “mentally” - I”m not sure. The map begins to unfold.
All kinds of different orders of information about the Earth and the
wider galaxy are contained within this lens.
I
see layers unfolding, stretching back into the distance. Through
transparent folds in the ‘material’ - beams of energy seem to shine
through. As each leaf in the fold opens, the energy, light and
qualities of that order of reality seem to beam on through into my
perception. At on end the stuff galaxies are made of, at the other
realities miniscule and imperceivable to the naked eye.
I try
and get a grip on some of the names - but don’t have much luck. The
only one I recall is one that reads “pre-quantum”. It seems to be on
the extremely small scale.
The map however is multi-layered.
That was just one “page”. Now my companion shows me another. I see
pictures of the Earth, and she tells me with a certain expression of
awe, that these show the Earth histories. I see that the formation of
the land mass has changed in many ways over time - perhaps in ways
different to those we assume.
I
remember a dream a dreamer from Sea Life shared about Antarctica once -
which discussed similar changes in the planet’s geological formation.
In anticipation, wondering if I can connect some more dots, I ask
“Where’s Antarctica?”.
I have a little bit too much anticipation however, and the dream ends here.
Comments:
This was a great dream to wake from. At the time, I was midway through
my trip around México. It was such a positive reminder of the larger
purpose of my being there.
Hearing those words in the dream -
your 52nd time in Palenque - this was big news for me. It changed the
way I saw the place. I began to wonder what would bring me to Palenque 52 times (if that was indeed what was meant?). Thoughts sprung to mind of what I may have
been doing in each. I know also that 52
is a special number to the Maya - it represents a coming of age.
I
also loved the map/experience of the different orders of the galaxy.
That was way cool! I felt charged up after that. Seeing the different
images of the Earth was fascinating. All in all - the dream had such a
cosmic feeling - I feel called to come back to it.
