Planting Trees

I am in a place which appears to be in Northern Australia. Maybe up in the upper reaches of Queensland. Im not exactly sure, but I have the sense of coastland nearby, on either side.

There is a man here, who is working to plant trees - to support this environment. I see the trees - like a big plantation of them. They . are unusual, thin, skinny trees, looking more like plants than trees. Their narrow trunks reach up into the sky, and I understand that these trees serve a particular purpose - that they have a special function in the tree kingdom, that is particularly important to the environment.

I think I am being encouraged to participate, but am having some doubts.

Comments: My associations with this dream are as follows. Here in Guatemala, I recently spent some time in a small town near Quetzaltenango where I was working to help plant trees in the mornings, then learning spanish in the afternoon.

It was a small town, and the project was very down to earth. They needed to plant trees, and move them to the mountains around the town, in order to stop the government selling the water in the mountains to the US and thus restricting access to the water from the townspeople themselves. A worthy project. No doubt.

While I enjoyed the opportunity, there were some issues that came up for me. Personal comfort stuff. I got a bit tired of the repetitive nature of the food, and the very cold housing that I was living in. The work during the day was fine, but the nights were not so pleasant. I was also the only student in the school, which of course made for total immersion in the spanish language, but also meant that the project really needed my support.

Originally I had planned to return for a week, and recently got a message from the man organising the project - asking me to confirm my interest in returning. This dream seems to echo that theme - clearly, on one level I recognise the value of the project and its contribution to the environment (both within Guatemala and in the wider world), yet I also feel a little challenged. I am feeling that I would prefer to continue travelling in warmer regions of the world, and see a bit more of Central America.

So in summary, not sure how to act on this dream. Seems to be about acknowledging the importance of the work happening in the community, and yet I feel I should also be able to express my wish to travel during the relatively few weeks that Im here, so thats likely what I will do.
