I am in the Grade 3/4 Classroom at CPS. I see a clear rectangular area. It is clearly marked out with masking tape. The horizontal lines slightly overlapping at the point where they meet the vertical lines. It's all set up at the front of the room, where the students usually sit down.

Comments: I have a three week teaching stint/opportunity at a school (CPS), with the Grade 3/4 class. Most of the students are refugees, and thus have English as a second language. This has impacts on their learning - students can easily get restless in class - especially when sitting down. It seems to me that this dream is suggesting that I need to clearly mark/set down the boundaries. Infact, the idea itself - is very appropriate. I'm going to start my three-week stint by introducing this marked out space as the "Zone", encouraging students to appreciate that learning best occurs when we're "in the Zone". It will be interesting to see how it goes. I don't imagine it will necessarily be easy, but this dream seemed like a step in the right direction.
