Introduction: I am going to Mexico/Guatemala in November, and my travel plans have been on my mind. Having already booked a flight from Melbourne to LA, I was trying to decide which flight to take next (I'd just got paid, and could now pay for it!).
1. LA to Mexico City
2. LA to Oaxaca, or
3. LA to Guatemala City.
I was having doubts about landing in Guatemala city - I wanted something a little softer, or at least that I was more familiar with, so this was an outside bet. However Mexico City was still an option (very cheap return tickets to/from LA). The only drawback being that I'd spent quite alot of time there last year, and wanted to visit a place I didn't get to see last year (ie. Oaxaca).
I went to sleep with the intention of finding out which location would be best to land in.
I'm at a bus station. There are a bunch of people. School children. They seem to know where they're going, or at least are more familiar with their surroundings than I am. They jump on a bus.
Later, realising that I may not be at the right stop, I start looking out for the interchange. Finally I see one. I start shuffling my feet, running onwards, in the hope that I'll catch the next bus on time. As I wander up, I see a familiar student "Walid" ahead of me, with a group of his classmates. It seems they ended up waiting here anyway (even though he was one of the group on the first bus). I head in the direction of the bus stop they're waiting at.
Comments: I woke, pretty conscious of this feeling like "Walid' was leading the way. This brought out some recognitions. The city name "Oaxaca" is pronounced with a "W" - more like "Wahaca", and here in this dream I'm on the trail of "Walid". The matching "W" sound, coupled with the notion of changeover (I have to change flights in Mexico City, before going to Oaxaca) felt like the key to the dream.
Eager to follow up on the guidance of my dream, I booked my flight to Oaxaca City this morning.
