I'm in a bedroom in my parent's house. I'm sorting through old "stuff" that I left at their house, discovering that there are lots of materials here that could be useful for my teaching unit next term. I discover what I first think is a book I used to really love, "The Big Book of Space". Only it's not what it appears to be.

Instead it's a big large black piece of paper. Bigger than A3, probably A1 in size - the kind of page you'd reel out across a big painting table. And that's what's it like. It seems to be something I had when I was just a child. I notice that my mum left instructions to my older sister. They're painted across the paper. Something like

"Help Nick find something to do"...

I wonder why I was keeping hold of this. There's something to be said for nostalgia, but there's no art in this work.
